Pleasant Summer Weather Ahead

Winnipeg will see pleasant summer conditions with near-seasonal temperatures over the next few days.

It’s a nice, short forecast to start the week for Winnipeg. The driving weather features over the coming days will be a departing upper low over Ontario and gradually building upper ridge over the western Prairies. These two things combined will result in near-seasonal temperatures through the next few days with comfortable humidity levels. The city will also see plenty of sunshine over the coming days.

Southern Manitoba will see seasonal to seasonably warm temperatures through the first half of the week.

The winds will be breezy today and gradually ease as the week progresses. The city will see northwest winds near 30 gusting 50 km/h today, then northerly at 20 to 30 km/h on Tuesday. Winds should stay light on Wednesday.

Long Range Outlook

Temperatures will warm up into the upper 20s for the end of the week, but the city will still see plenty of sunshine. The potential for unsettled weather may develop on Friday night into the weekend.

Beautiful Weekend Ahead

Beautiful summer conditions lie ahead for Winnipeg this weekend!

A building upper ridge will bring plenty of sunshine to the region over the coming days with seasonal temperatures. Right through the weekend, Winnipeg will see daytime highs near 26 or 27°C and lows in the mid-teens. Winds on Friday will be out of the northwest at 15 to 25 km/h, then they’ll ease to light and variable for the weekend.

Seasonably warm temperatures will continue across southern Manitoba this weekend.

A disturbance embedded within the building ridge will move across the region on Saturday morning, bringing some cloud to the region. No rain is expected in Winnipeg with this system, instead any precipitation is forecast to stay west of the Red River Valley. This cloud will break up for the afternoon hours and then clear out by the evening.

Long Range Outlook

Next week will kick off with a low moving through the province that could bring more rain and/or thunderstorms to the region. After that, though, it looks like a return to pleasant summer conditions. Near-seasonal highs with comfortable humidity look to persist right through the week.

Relief From The Humidity Arrives

Winnipeg will finally get a break from the heat as seasonal temperatures with a marked drop in humidity return.

The next two days in Winnipeg will bring great summer weather to the region. The city will see plenty of sunshine with highs climbing to 30°C. Winds will be out of the west today at 20 to 30 km/h, but should be light on Tuesday. Most notable will be a notable drop in humidity; dew points should fall into the low to mid-teens today and stay there for Tuesday.

Hot weather will continue across southern Manitoba this week, but with less humidity.

A warm front will push northwards into the region on Tuesday night, spreading cloud back into southern Manitoba. On Wednesday, a breezy southeasterly wind will bring the heat and humidity back. Dew points will climb back towards 20°C with a high in the upper 20s. Skies should stay mostly cloudy through the day with ac couple chances for showers or thunderstorms. The first will be early in the morning as thunderstorms from the night may continue through the region. There will be another chance as a cold front pushes through later in the day.

Long Range Outlook

Thursday may bring more unsettled weather to the city, but then a building ridge of high pressure will bring sunny skies to end the week. Winnipeg will see highs in the upper 20s this weekend with plenty of sunshine and overnight lows in the upper teens.

Mid-Week Slump: Cool and Unsettled Weather

Winnipeg will see seasonably cool and unsettled conditions in the second half the work wake give way to warmer weather on the weekend.

Today will start off with a few early morning showers, then skies will gradually become mixed for the afternoon. Temperatures should reach a high near 19°C, but winds will stay brisk out of the northwest at 30 gusting 50 km/h. Late in the day, another shower or two is possible but most of the activity should stay to the west of the city. Winds will ease this evening then temperatures will head to a low near 8°C under partly cloudy skies.

Thursday will be a cool June day in the city with a high near 16°C and a north wind again near 30 km/h. The city will again see a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of showers as a cold front pushes through the region. Skies will clear out on Thursday night as winds ease and temperatures head to a low near 6°C.

Much of southern Manitoba will see seasonably cool temperatures on Thursday.

Although cool, Friday will be a comparatively pleasant day in Winnipeg. The city will see a high near 17°C with light winds and partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will dip to a low near 7°C on Friday night.

Long Range Outlook

Warmer weather will push back into the region this weekend with temperatures returning to seasonal values. Saturday should bring mostly sunny conditions, but more cloud cover is possible. By Sunday night, the chance for showers or thunderstorms will return as another surge of warm air pushes towards the region. Next week will bring seasonably warm weather and occasionally unsettled conditions.
